Overview

Scripture, in your own tongue.

Scripture Videos exists to put religious video content in front of people in the language they actually speak — including the thousands of underrepresented languages that mainstream media skips. Users can stream when they have a connection, or download for full offline use in regions where data and Wi-Fi are scarce.

The constraint is access: a language barrier and a connectivity barrier at the same time.

The Apps

Native iOS and Android.

Both platforms ship as native clients built for low-end devices and intermittent networks. Streaming and offline download share one content model so a downloaded library behaves exactly like the streamed one.

The Pipeline

A volunteer-translator dubbing engine.

Behind the apps is an AWS admin and API stack that coordinates a dubbing workflow: volunteer translators contribute localized audio, which is processed and distributed back into the apps. The system is built so that adding a new language is an operational task, not an engineering one.

Status

Live in the stores.

Scripture Videos is live on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with the dubbing pipeline and distribution backend running on AWS.
